Raspberry Banana Smoothie pops

Image

When I wake up and hear the sound of birds chirping outside, and I step out of my house to feel the warm weather and see all the beautiful flowers blooming I get SO excited. I love summer! I mean, who doesn’t? And summer calls for one thing everyone loves…popsicles! How nice is it to sit by the pool, or sit on the porch and enjoy a nice cold popsicle? You can buy your own popsicles at the store but I think it’s more fun to make them yourself. So today I’d like to share with you one of my favorite smoothie pop recipes.

INGREDIENTS:

*1 frozen banana

*1/2 cup of regular/soy/or almond milk

*1/2 cup fresh raspberries

*1 cup of vanilla yogurt

*1/4 cup water

*Crushed ice

DIRECTIONS:

*Blend together all ingredients

After enjoying your smoothie if you have some leftover (which is always the case for me!) instead of throwing away the extra smoothie, you can freeze it in popsicle molds. Here’s how mine turned out:

*note: if you follow the above recipe then they won’t look as dark as mine. These photos are from when I made my smoothie with strawberry/raspberry/blueberry. You can make smoothie pops with the above recipe and substitute your favorite fruit instead of the raspberries and it should turn out great as well.

Enjoy & Have a great day! Xoxo, Chelsea

How to Make Applebee’s White Peach Sangria

Image

Chelsea and I are not big drinkers but when we do, we love us some sangria. I found this drink at Applebee’s and it is now one of my favorites. Whenever you go out and get a good drink you wonder how they make it! So I finally found out.

You will need:

2 ounces of Sutter Home white zinfandel wine

2 ounces of peach schnapps

1 ounce of pineapple juice

3 ounces of 7-up or carbonated lemon-lime beverage

1 or 2 frozen peach slices

5 or 6 frozen grapes (red and green)

Martini glass

How to make it:

  1. Take 2 ounces of Sutter Home white zinfandel wine and pour it into a glass. Add 2 ounces of peach schnapps and stir it well.
  2. Add 1 ounce of pineapple juice with the 2 ounces of peach schnapps and the 2 ounces of Sutter Home white zinfandel wine. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Proceed by adding 3 ounces of 7-up or carbonated lemon-lime beverage. Continue to blend with previous added ingredients. Set aside for later use
  4. Place frozen peach slices in the bottom of the martini glass. Then add frozen grapes (red and green) and place in the bottom of the martini glass
  5. Pour the prepared wine mixture over frozen fruit and blend it well.

Let me know how it comes out or go try it at Applebee’s, FYI it comes in a HUGE glass lol

ENJOY 🙂
